Everyone has a picture in mind of what we might call “The Good Life”: sitting on a sandy beach, making tons of money, enjoying a good book, or sitting at a table surrounded by those you love—you name it. In a world that defines “the good life” a thousand different ways, it can be confusing and even painful when we realize we don’t have the life we wanted. Jesus begins his sermon on the mount with what have famously been called the Beatitudes: a list describing his idea of the good life—and it’s not what anyone would expect. This series is an invitation to sit at the feet of the Lord of Life and learn from the master what it truly means to be human and to live “the good life”.
